Green screen
The LED wall, the weather map, the newsroom monitors — each can show your slides, keyed in behind the presenter, or stay chroma green for your editor.

Selecting screens
- 1 On the Scene page, click a camera’s picture, or press Select Screens… in its Green screen section (File ▸ Select Screens…, ⇧⌘G).
- 2 The picture reader outlines TVs, monitors, video walls, projection screens, canvases, posters and framed pictures. Hover to see each; click to select.
- 3 Missed one? Drag a rectangle across it.
- 4 Check that Make them green is on, and press Done.
The Scene page shows the selection in green before anything is filmed.
Your presentation on the screens, keyed in automatically
No editor needed. Once a camera has a green screen, its Green screen section shows Plays on the screens. Choose what plays there; Stage Is Yours keys it into every green screen of the finished movie, presenter in front.
- Keynote presentation - every slide. Keynote exports the PDF for you (macOS asks once to let Stage Is Yours control Keynote). PowerPoint files work too, through Keynote.
- PDF - one page per slide, from Keynote, PowerPoint, Google Slides or any app.
- Picture - one image, in every shot.
- Movie - plays along and loops.
- 1 Under Plays on the screens, press Choose What Plays… and pick the file.
- 2 On the Movie page, each green-screen shot gets a Slide menu with a thumbnail. Until you choose, slides run over the shots in order.
- 3 Make the movie - or, with shots already filmed, press Join Shots Again (Movie ▸ Join Shots Again, ⌥⌘B). Slides are keyed in within seconds, without refilming.
Each slide is fitted to its screen’s four corners, so an angled wall shows an angled slide. Screen edges are cleaned of green light; the presenter’s outline stays crisp.
Another slide? Pick it in the shot’s Slide menu and press ⌥⌘B. For plain green, turn off Show it in the movie. Slides need a fixed camera (Movie settings ▸ Camera move: Fixed).
What happens while filming
The presenter is placed into the original scene first, so their light still comes from the real screen. The screen is then painted green behind them, and every frame is cleaned to one flat green — no gradients, no noise, easy to key.
The app reads the scene’s depth. A desk before the video wall, a chair before the TV, an audience before the stage screens stay in front of the green — in Select Screens, the still and every frame.
Keying it yourself
Prefer your own editor? Leave Show it in the movie off. Use the standard keyer in Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Premiere or Motion, and put your slides, weather map or video underneath.
Screens partly hidden by the presenter, a desk or a chair work fine. Very steep angles key less cleanly; prefer screens facing the camera.
